Job Description

The Finance Officer holds a critical role within our organization, ensuring the effective management of financial resources and the maintenance of robust financial controls. This role requires a dynamic individual proficient in financial reporting, budget management, and strategic analysis. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, implementing financial policies, and maintaining financial records in compliance with legal regulations. Your expertise will drive the organization’s financial strategy, optimize performance, and provide valuable insights to guide executive decision-making. You will also engage in financial risk assessments and ensure all financial activities are transparent and efficient, contributing significantly to the overall success and sustainability of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements for management review and decision-making.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategy.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate and timely entries into financial systems.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Engage in risk management activities, identifying financial risks and providing mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
  • Review and approve financial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Participate in special financial projects and contribute to cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a financial management role preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounting and financial management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
