Field Service Engineer - Seasonal Contract - 12 Months

A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves performing hands-on gas turbine installation, overhaul, maintenance, and component assembly activities, including combustion chambers, burners, turbine frames, and casings while strictly adhering to EHS, confined space, working-at-height, and lifting/rigging requirements. You assess equipment condition, execute repairs and improvements based on technical documentation and standard procedures, and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and service activities.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Perform hands-on installation, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of gas turbine systems, including combustion chambers, burners, and major turbine components.
• Conduct maintenance, refurbishment, assembly, and disassembly of combustion chamber components, turbine frames (2000E and 4000F), casings, and related equipment.
• Follow the highest Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, including confined space entry, working at height, foreign material exclusion (FME), and lifting/rigging procedures.
• Interpret and work from technical documentation such as engineering drawings, technical instructions, P&ID diagrams, and test records to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Assess equipment condition, implement repairs and improvements using standard corrective measures, and maintain detailed documentation of installations, inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and failures.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• At least 3 years of Field Service experience, including 1 to 2 years of maintenance on prime movers in power stations; Field Service and breakdown maintenance experience are advantageous.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools such as feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and block gauges.
• Demonstrate strong English communication skills (written and spoken) and the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams; German language skills are an advantage.
• Have technical expertise or familiarity with 4000F and 2000E turbine tiling and hydraulic tightening equipment (Hytorc/ITH), which are considered beneficial.
• Hold a vocational or technical mechanical qualification and be willing to travel frequently, work abroad, and perform shift work, while demonstrating a results-driven, proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude.
