General Summary
The Field Service Engineer will report directly to the Service Centre Manager – Abu Dhabi and will work on a diverse range of Celeros Flow Technology brands and products as well as third party equipment. The Field Service Engineer will partner with the Field Service and Workshop Teams (as necessary), to provide world class support and solutions to our customers by installing equipment, identifying and correcting equipment faults and by servicing, maintaining and refurbishing equipment at customer sites. The key requirements of this role are to ensure the smooth running of equipment at customer sites and to prepare reports accordingly. The position holder will primarily be required to undertake activities from external locations such as customer sites and will occasionally be required to undertake activities at the workshop in the Abu Dhabi Service Centre, as deemed appropriate.
The Field Service Engineer will have a working knowledge and experience of API Pumps, pump commissioning in the field, and pump workshop services.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the installation of new equipment at site.
- Coordinate with manufacturing facilities to prearrange documentation, parts and information required to enable efficient commissioning and installation of new equipment.
- Service equipment & perform equipment maintenance in accordance with customer service agreement.
- Troubleshoot equipment / system problems and provide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Perform emergency breakdown service for customers, on 24 hour per day 7 day per week basis.
- Interact with facilities on warranty related service work when on site, as necessary.
- Lead the inspection and / or removal of equipment from sites for transfer to the Service Centre as and when required.
- Lead investigations, either at sites or the Service Centre (as necessary) to quantify possible extent and source of reported operational problems.
- Disassemble equipment to identify and solve operational problems and to perform maintenance as necessary, install new parts or use agreed refurbishment techniques as necessary and then reassemble equipment.
- Produced detailed reports including digital photographs.
- Lead the re-installation of equipment at site.
- Perform the necessary condition monitoring and performance monitoring of equipment.
- Promote the use of Celeros FT original parts and the use of service agreements to customers.
- Create a positive work environment / relationship with colleagues and customers.
- Lead on-site field service teams, including Celeros FT Workshop Technicians and sub-vendors under the supervision of Celeros FT.
- Carry out inspections and QC activities to ensure all work meet the required standard.
- Provide assistance in the Service Centre Workshop as required.
- Proactively participate in operational activities for all Celeros Flow Technology brands and products to develop and expand knowledge and product expertise.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and practice good housekeeping in the work area.
- Ensure adherence to all Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety guidelines and projects.

- On time delivery / adherence to internal SLAs for strip / inspections etc.
- Achieve on target results against planned working hours
- Achieve on target results relating utilization levels
- 100% on time compliance / Environmental, Health & Safety audits / 5S audits
- Reduction in non-conformances and customer complaints
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Has working knowledge of pumps and associated equipment (such as mixers, gearboxes and valves) and has experience installing, repairing, servicing and maintaining the same.
- Thinks creatively and has in-depth engineering knowledge to identify barriers, apply knowledge and logic to solve problems and provide technical solutions.
- Has the aptitude to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, safety rules, reports etc. and can write reports and correspondence.

Education And Experience
- Vocational Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Assembly – essential
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Assembly – preferred
- Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer, within the Oil & Gas industry – preferred
- Junior Level, with 1-2 years related experience.
