Job Summary:

As a Facilities Technician - Projects, you will primarily responsible to provide technical services on assigned project concerning design, construction, development or installation of equipment / facilities. The job incumbent oversees project progress, ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are in line with the customer project plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee contracted projects, equipment installation projects, renovation and redesigning projects.
  • Coordinate with customer to assure requirements are met during design, construction and post construction of projects.
  • Oversee contractor’s performance to ensure adherence to approved design, quality standards, schedule, and cost.
  • Coordinate with contractors on project implementation and site preparation.
  • Conduct daily site visits, progress meetings, and issue progress reports to Facilities Engineer.
  • Review and endorse key material submittals, RFIs, variation claims and progress invoices.
  • Support Facilities Engineer to review design changes, equipment specifications, etc.
  • Assist Facilities Engineer in preparing and administering facilities budget; monitor budget accounts and expenditures.
  • Assist in the selection of contractors and other consultants for equipment installation projects, construction and renovation projects by reviewing pre-qualification documents.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to provide effective design and project management for successful completion of the project.
  • Track project costs and variations to ensure adherence with approved purchase orders.
  • Ensure completion of snag lists, testing & commissioning and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate project handover to facility maintenance team after completion.
  • Compile and process project documentation to maintain an accurate history and traceability.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of all required reports and maintain all appropriate records.
  • Monitor HSE compliance and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Ensure contractor is strictly adhering to safety standards.
  • Enforce and comply with all established policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of of proven experience as a Facilities Technician in Construction Projects and Facility Management.
  • Education: Three Year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering field
  • Communication: Good communication skills in English.
