Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of our facilities. The role demands a proactive approach to facility management, ensuring that all services and protocols are functioning efficiently. This includes managing facility services, coordinating maintenance activities, and supervising the team to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. A Facilities Supervisor should also be well-versed in safety regulations and building codes, adept at troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues, and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and operations of all facility systems and services.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and repair costs.
  • Supervise a team of facility maintenance staff, providing coaching and support.
  • Ensure that facilities comply with all health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for facility operations and capital improvements.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repair and maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and manage resolution efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility needs are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce facility operating costs effectively.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues promptly.
  • Oversee construction projects and remodels, ensuring they meet standards and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of facility operations, systems, and building maintenance practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using facility management software and systems effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
