Job Description

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of our organization's physical infrastructure. You will ensure that the working environment is safe, efficient, and welcoming for both employees and visitors. This position involves managing staff, coordinating with vendors, and implementing effective facility management practices. You will work closely with other departments to align facility needs with organizational goals and handle emergencies or issues promptly. Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day facility operations to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule timely building repairs and improvements.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures efficiently.
  • Manage and oversee contractors and vendors for service agreements and tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness throughout the premises.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations diligently.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas requiring maintenance or improvement.
  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and savings.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent facility issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and support their facility requirements.
  • Train and develop facility staff to enhance operational capabilities consistently.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance activities, including reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in facility management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with budget management and cost-control principles effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination.
  • Ability to quickly resolve problems and make effective, informed decisions.
