Job Description

The Facilities Manager is a critical role tasked with overseeing the operations and maintenance of a company's physical infrastructure. This position ensures that company buildings are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of employees and clients. The Facilities Manager coordinates efforts among multiple teams, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic planning abilities to anticipate and meet the demands of modern business environments. By optimizing the facility's usage, the Facilities Manager plays an essential role in supporting organizational efficiency and sustainability goals.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily operations and maintenance of the physical facilities.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and emergency response plans.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, including operational expenses and capital projects.
  • Evaluate facility efficiency and implement initiatives to improve energy conservation.
  • Plan and manage space utilization to accommodate organizational growth and changes.
  • Lead a team of facilities staff, providing mentorship and performance management.
  • Oversee security operations, including access control and surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support facility-related needs and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records related to facility operations, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or issues that may arise within the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a diverse team.
