Job Description

A Facilities Manager is a crucial role within any organization, responsible for overseeing the operational effectiveness of the physical infrastructure in which a company operates. The position demands a strategic approach to ensure that buildings and systems function efficiently and that the workplace environment is safe, compliant with relevant regulations, and conducive to productivity. As a Facilities Manager, you will manage vendors and maintenance staff, develop and enforce policies related to building operations, and oversee budgets to maximize operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and smooth operation of all organizational facilities.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to facilities management and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to manage facility-related services.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and repair costs.
  • Plan and oversee renovation and refurbishment projects within the facility.
  • Monitor facility usage and optimize the space for maximum productivity.
  • Handle emergency situations promptly to minimize impact on operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all facility management activities and expenditures.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies regarding facility operations and compliance.
  • Manage internal staff and teams responsible for facility maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sustainable and environmentally friendly facility operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities systems, maintenance, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards applicable to buildings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management software applications.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct teams effectively.
