Job Description

A Facilities Engineer, code 13M26, is a pivotal member of the operations team responsible for managing and maintaining the physical environment of an organization. This role involves the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of facilities to ensure they meet operational requirements and contribute to the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the business. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for organizational facilities to ensure optimal operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of the facility's equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility repair, maintenance projects, and renovations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Manage annual budgets for operations, maintenance, and capital improvements effectively.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Design and implement systems to improve operational efficiency within the facility.
  • Oversee the installation, modification, and commissioning of new systems and equipment.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting for facility and equipment-related issues promptly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on facility operations, including maintenance schedules and costs.
  • Implement sustainable initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in facilities management and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Proven project management skills with experience leading facilities projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations applicable to facility operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
