Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication projects.
• Operate various manual and automated tools to cut and shape materials.
• Assemble prepared metal components into finished products or structures.
• Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Follow all established company safety protocols and procedures on the job site.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fabrication tools and machinery.
• Document production activities, including progress reports and quality records.
• Provide input on process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking material use and remaining stock.
• Train and support junior fabricators and production assistants as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metal fabrication preferred.
• Proven experience as a fabricator or similar role in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of metalworking tools, techniques, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a precision-focus.
• Good physical condition and stamina for handling heavy materials and equipment.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
