Job Description

The Export Customer Care Representative plays a vital role in ensuring superior customer service for international clients by managing export orders and addressing customer inquiries and concerns. This position requires strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively liaise with customers, shipping partners, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The representative will need to navigate complex export documentation processes and maintain detailed records of shipments and transactions. A successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. This role demands an individual who is both customer-focused and capable of operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment often marked by rapid changes and unexpected challenges. Responsibilities

  • Manage export orders from initiation to final delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents in compliance with international regulations.
  • Coordinate with international logistics partners to ensure smooth shipping processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions accurately.
  • Collaborate with sales, shipping, and accounting departments to optimize service delivery.
  • Provide proactive updates to customers regarding the status of their shipments.
  • Keep abreast of changes in export regulations and adapt practices accordingly.
  • Conduct regular follow-up calls with customers to ensure service satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and improve service offerings.
  • Assist in developing training materials for new customer service representatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an export or customer service role.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous for this global-facing role.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other customer management tools is beneficial.
  • Operational knowledge of export compliance and international trade laws.
