To establish a robust framework to grow the Equities franchise under the Global markets mandate. The role will involve an entrepreneurial and consistent marketing of GMs existing Equity derivative capabilities. The post will likewise require working closely with stakeholders in FAB Securities and GCF for longer term growth across Primary as well as Secondary Markets. The role will involve cross-Regional comprehensive coverage of global clients, the execution of transactions, risk awareness and a sharp focus on revenue growth.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver the business strategy and manage/leverage customer flow to meet and strive to surpass set budget.
Display a fluent understanding of Cash and Derivatives Equities products.
Identify and implement best practices and a framework for distribution of Cash & Derivative Equity products across Primary and Secondary channels
Enhance the desk and broader Global Markets initiatives by working through New Product approvals, Islamic offerings, identifying and addressing systematic and procedural improvements
Have a comprehensive familiarity with electronic and voice channels of distribution
Foster a close cooperation with stakeholders across FAB Securities and GCF
Provide broader training and initiatives to educate teams and clients on the products internally and externally to maximize awareness and marketability
Maintain close client contact and intensive coverage across various geographical presences and work to expand the existing remit within the Legal & Compliance framework in each of our trading jurisdictions
Work in close alignment with Trading and Quant teams in refining and calibrating pricing and valuation metrics to maintain clear and transparent offering to customers and ensure that risk is booked and reflected correctly
Know and understand pricing constructs and modelling of relevant products to be seen as an Industry expert and maintain trust and respect of FAB customers
Ensure new and existing frameworks, systems and processes are fit for purpose and are aligned with market best practice
Produce market commentaries and market the products both internally and externally as Product Champion
Identify areas of cross-sell and work closely with Flow and Structured/Solutions Sales partners in order to maximize client connectivity with FAB
Ensure the compliance with all relevant counterparty limits and overhaul areas where additional lines might be required to unlock additional strategic Flow
Work closely with Trading, Operations, Legal, Credit, Compliance, Documentation and other Business partners in order to ramp up the franchise and enhance the existing revenue stream at FAB.
Minimum Qualification
Minimum BA degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Attributes
Preference of 7+ years of relevant markets experience and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar positions to be considered
A strong understanding of relevant global markets products
Knowledge of the MENA client base is an advantage
Knowledge of relevant regulations and jurisdictions, compliance requirements
Strong Microsoft office skills with coding ability a distinct advantage
