Job Description

The Equipment Maintenance Technician 16D25 plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of equipment used across the company. The technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. They need to exhibit strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair malfunctions efficiently, minimizing downtime. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, a strong technical background, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. An effective Equipment Maintenance Technician will contribute to the seamless operation of our production processes, guaranteeing safety, compliance, and optimal performance.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct protective maintenance checks on mechanical and electrical systems regularly.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
  • Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Adhere strictly to safety standards during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Train junior technicians on correct maintenance and repair procedures as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency.
  • Inspect new equipment installations to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair requests to support operational continuity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on technological advancements in equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical skills in diagnostics and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment essential for maintenance tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations related to equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
