Overview

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting of IP network infrastructure across Satellite Base Stations and Remote Terminal sites. This includes enterprise routing and switching, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and voice communication systems. The role ensures the availability, performance, resilience, and security of mission-critical network services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain IP network infrastructure across Satellite Base Stations and Remote Terminal sites.
• Deploy, manage, and maintain next-generation firewalls, including Palo Alto, Fortinet FortiGate, and Cisco Firepower.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access).
• Manage routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, RIP, VXLAN, STP, QoS etc.
• Administer and support VoIP infrastructure, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), voice gateways, SIP trunks, and voice services.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and security events using enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
• Perform firmware upgrades, security patching, configuration backups, and lifecycle management of network and security devices.
• Diagnose and resolve network, security, and voice-related incidents within agreed service levels.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, failover testing, and remote site maintenance.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration records, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in a 24×7 on-call support rotation and respond to critical incidents and emergency maintenance activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network and security operations.
• Strong practical experience with:
• Enterprise routing and switching
• Palo Alto, Fortinet FortiGate, and Cisco Firepower firewalls
• IPSec VPN technologies
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and VoIP infrastructure
• Network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools
  

Preferred Certifications

• CCIE, CCNP, CCNA
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Professional (PCNSE)
• Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) / NSE 4 or higher
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel to Base Stations and Remote Terminal sites
• Ability to provide after-hours support and participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in mission-critical and high-availability operational environments.
