Job Purpose

Plan, co-ordinate and support all mechanical maintenance and engineering activities for Pipelines assets and

related equipment, to ensure the availability and reliability.

Key Accountabilities

Maintenance Planning, Execution and expertise

  • Ensure that all the pipelines, static and rotating equipment are maintained, improved and/or replaced

for optimum availability to meet the asset integrity requirements.

  • Plan and coordinate Mechanical Maintenance activities with other departments and sections.
  • Analyze the Break Down work orders and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of

equipment failures and recommend solutions.

  • Participate in PMO program for maintenance activities & follow up the implementation.
  • Review mechanical equipment Asset record PM, Job plans are bring them in line with company M&I

Policy.

  • Participate in the punch listing of new asset during the operational handing over of the mechanical

assets

  • Ensure all modifications done on the mechanical equipment are as per company Plant Change

Procedure.

  • Plan, guide and execute EOM, MM and Capital budget items related to mechanical section
  • Ensure that all the required material, spares, consumables and tools are of the right quality and quantity

and available on a continuous basis.

  • Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the

findings.

  • Review and update the existing mechanical procedures in line with company standards and

requirements.

  • Provide the technical support for mechanical maintenance team.
  • Prepare scope of work for tendering and conduct the technical evaluation of tenders.
  • Review, plan and approve work orders raised in the MAXIMO system and ensure efficient follow up to

achieve efficient, timely and quality completion of all Pipelines Division’s mechanical maintenance

works.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job

and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the Section / Team / Department budgets and assist in the

implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.

  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and

procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International

standards.

  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Team /

Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational

processes.

  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line

with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability

guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering related functions as defining mechanical

specifications, design drawings for vessels, pumps, equipment etc. within a large Oil and Gas

organization.

  • Expertise in in-service and pre-service maintenance analysis for pipeline’s mechanical installations
  • Expertise in preparation of the calculations, technical notes, requisitions, specifications and deliverables

with in discipline.

  • Able to do Quality Assurance work within the provisions and guidelines system.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices.
  • Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.
