Job Description

Were looking for a talented and detail-oriented Engineer - Geotechnical to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will apply your geotechnical expertise to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative solutions for diverse infrastructure projects. Working collaboratively with senior engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, you will take ownership of technical tasks while developing your professional capabilities in a supportive and dynamic environment.

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments, utilizing field testing methodologies and soil mechanics principles to gather and interpret subsurface data
  • Contribute to geotechnical design work including settlement analysis, foundation design (shallow and deep), retaining wall design, earthworks, and slope stability analysis
  • Prepare and review technical documentation such as desk studies, interpretative reports, specifications, and design drawings with precision and attention to detail
  • Monitor geotechnical field activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards, applying rigorous assessment methodologies
  • Collaborate with geotechnical contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely project delivery
  • Utilize geotechnical software and design tools to model, analyze, and solve complex technical challenges with analytical rigor
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of deliverables, ensuring consistency with field conditions and alignment with design standards
  • Participate actively in team meetings and client discussions, contributing technical insights and demonstrating commitment to project success
  • Stay current with evolving design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineering, embracing opportunities for continuous professional development
  • Travel to project sites as required to support field investigations, quality assurance, and on-site technical oversight

Qualifications

Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in geotechnical investigation and design work following completion of undergraduate degree
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including settlement analysis, retaining walls, shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, and slope stability analysis
  • Proven experience in site investigation, field testing, and subsurface data interpretation
  • Experience preparing technical reports and design documentation
  • Familiarity with project delivery processes and client interaction

Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer registration or equivalent Chartered status (or working toward registration)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current design codes and standards applicable to geotechnical engineering

Technical Skills & Expertise:
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software including GEO5, WALLAP, ALP, SlopeW/Slide, or Plaxis
  • Competency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics principles
  • Practical knowledge of geotechnical field monitoring techniques and instrumentation
  • Proficiency in technical document preparation and report writing
