At ADNOC Drilling OFS, this position is responsible for delivering continuous 12-hour mud logging and surface data logging services at the wellsite, ensuring accurate monitoring, interpretation, and reporting of drilling and formation data in compliance with ADNOC, client, company, and HSE requirements. The role supports safe and efficient drilling operations through real-time data acquisition, hydrocarbon gas monitoring, lithological description, and early detection of abnormal well conditions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific:
Operate mud logging and surface logging units to ensure continuous recording of drilling parameters, gas data, and surface measurements in real time.
Continuously monitor drilling, tripping, cementing, logging, and well control activities to detect losses, gains, kicks, dangerous gases, or abnormal operating conditions.
Perform hydrocarbon and H2S gas monitoring, interpretation, and quality control to ensure early warning of well control risks.
Prepare accurate lithological descriptions based on drill cuttings and correlate with drilling and gas data.
Carry out sample catching at selected wells, ensuring proper sample preparation, labeling, storage, and documentation fully compliant with ADNOC and client procedures.
Ensure all surface sensors, gas detectors, and logging equipment are properly installed, calibrated, tested, and maintained at all times.
Prepare and maintain mud logs, drilling databases, daily reports, event logs, and real-time data transmission to the client.
Immediately report critical events, abnormal conditions, or safety concerns to the Client Representative and Team Leader.
Ensure full compliance with ADNOC, company, client, and HSE policies, procedures, and wellsite safety requirements.
At job completion, prepare and submit final well reports, mud logs, and service tickets and hand over all deliverables to the Team Leader as per department procedures.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Deliver continuous 12‑hour mud logging and surface data logging services at the wellsite, ensuring accurate real‑time monitoring, interpretation, and reporting of drilling and formation data in full compliance with company, client, and HSE requirements.
Support safe, efficient, and optimized drilling operations through real‑time data acquisition, gas monitoring, lithological description, and early identification of abnormal well conditions.
Operate within designated wellsite logging units, ensuring all surface sensors, instruments, and data acquisition systems are properly installed, calibrated, tested, and continuously monitored.
Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate mud logging reports, drilling databases, and daily operational records, ensuring data integrity and adherence to ADNOC and client reporting standards.
Perform sample catching operations at selected wells, ensuring proper sample preparation, accurate labeling, secure storage, and complete documentation in accordance with ADNOC and client procedures.
Continuously monitor drilling, tripping, cementing, logging, and well control operations to detect losses, gains, kicks, hazardous gases, or operational anomalies, and immediately report critical events through established communication channels.
Communicate all significant observations, alarms, and operational concerns to client representatives and relevant stakeholders through timely reports, notifications, and data delivery.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in strict compliance with HSE policies, including gas safety requirements, hazard identification, and wellsite safety practices.
Upon job completion, compile and submit final well reports, logs, and service tickets, ensuring accurate handover to the Team Leader in accordance with departmental and contractual procedures.

Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Good working knowledge of computer systems and standard office and operational software.
Demonstrated ability to successfully complete advanced technical training and assigned wellsite development programs.
Proven ability to take direction, work efficiently within multidisciplinary teams, and contribute positively to team objectives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
High level of visual acuity and attention to detail, enabling continuous monitoring of multiple computer screens, logs, and readouts for extended periods.
Sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and support operational equipment and systems.
