About the Job:

Provides specialist knowledge and guidance to management and team members for the assessment of business opportunities, presentation of business case(s), preparation of bids, development and execution of contracts with regards to Oil Spill & HNS Response Services.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  • Conducts Evaluation and Risk Assessment of Business Opportunities, assess the potential and creates the Business Opportunity Evaluation(s).
  • Provides tendering and contracting input including comprehensive engineering, technical and commercial review of scope of work received from clients.
  • Drafts appropriate contractual and commercial terms and conditions to best serve and protect the Company's interests.
  • Ensures quality control for tender documents, reviews technical and commercial bids leading to establishment of suitable contracts.
  • Reviews scope of work and commercial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company regulatory and local standards.Creates and Updates Contracts in SAP Fiori for the completion of Sales Orders / Invoicing.
  • Provides Commercial & Financial input to compliance based audits
  • Remains on-call as per the duty roster to respond in a timely manner to emergencies.
  • Prepares of Tenders Bids in coordination with the Technical, Financial and Legal Department.
  • Acts as point of contact ‘’Contractor’’ representative for existing and future contracts/agreements.
  • Provides input into contract cost analysis for Department and Company cost initiatives.
  • Prepares (in cooperation with finance department) project specific cost model(s) to validate sustainability and profitability of the project / contract
  • Facilitates the developing of all project-related contract strategies.
  • Reviews bids, conducts negotiations and administers the award of contracts and contract amendments and provision of feedback to Management.
  • Provides subject matter expert assistance and advice on contractual and procurement matters as required to support the Company's operations.
  • Carries out customer satisfaction surveys with all clients in order to provide a feedback on department services and recommendations for continual improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HND, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of experience in Commercial contracts development in Oil Spill & HNS Response field.
  • Good knowledge of Contract laws and industry best practices.
  • Experience in Marine Pollution Claims and Compensation procedures.

Professional Certifications:

  • OPRC OSR Level 3 or IMO level 3.
  • ICS 100, 200 & 300.
