The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Engineer – Atlassian Stack to manage and maintain multiple self-hosted Confluence and Jira environments. You will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, performance, and security, while supporting business teams through configuration, automation, and continuous improvement of Atlassian tools.

Responsibilities

Atlassian Platform Management

• Provide technical support for multiple self-hosted Confluence and Jira environments
• Maintain platform health, performance, and availability
• Act as the primary point of contact for Atlassian-related requests
  
  

Configuration & Customisation

• Design and implement Jira configurations including workflows, dashboards, permissions, and reports
• Manage Confluence spaces, structures, and integrations
• Support implementation and management of Atlassian add-ons and plugins
  
  

Security & Access Management

• Implement application security practices across Atlassian environments
• Manage user access, permissions, and resolve related issues
• Ensure compliance with internal governance and security standards
  
  

Automation & Integration

• Develop and maintain automation workflows within Jira and Confluence
• Support scripting (e.g., Groovy) and process automation initiatives
• Work with APIs and integrations to enhance platform capabilities
  
  

Training & Support

• Support user training and adoption across the business
• Provide guidance on best practices and efficient use of Atlassian tools
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience as an Atlassian Administrator or Engineer
• Strong experience managing multiple Confluence and Jira environments
• Advanced knowledge of JQL and custom filters
• Experience with Atlassian plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Assets, Enhancer)
• Familiarity with ITIL and Agile frameworks
  
  

Preferred

• Atlassian/Jira Administration certification
• Experience with Groovy scripting
• Familiarity with Atlassian APIs and monitoring tools (logs, database, JMX)
• Experience with Docker and containerised environments
• Experience in process automation using Jira
