The Application Integration Engineer – CDO is responsible for advanced application delivery, integration, and release activities within the Client Delivery and Operations (CDO) function.
This role acts as technical owner for client-specific application variants and integrations, with a primary focus on mobile applications, while also supporting other platforms as required. The role bridges operational execution and engineering coordination, without owning feature development.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute application build, signing, and release activities for client-specific application variants.
Manage application store submissions and reviews (e.g. Apple App Store, TestFlight, Google Play) for client builds.
Coordinate certificates, provisioning profiles, signing keys, and release artifacts.
Generate and validate application binaries across platforms using CI/CD pipelines (primarily Jenkins).
Lead the integration of third-party applications and services with company applications at configuration and system-integration level.
Own the lifecycle of client-specific integrations, including validation, deployment, and operational readiness.
Coordinate closely with Engineering for dependencies, limitations, and handovers where code changes are required.
Act as escalation point for complex application issues beyond standard L1 support.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of mobile and application-level issues across Android, iOS, and other supported platforms.
Analyze logs, network traces, and runtime behavior to identify root causes and propose resolutions.
Operate and maintain application build and release pipelines, including:
Triggering builds
Debugging pipeline failures
Making light adjustments to scripts and job configurations
Ensure build and release processes are repeatable, auditable, and aligned with operational standards.
Ensure application builds adhere to platform security requirements and internal security baselines.
Apply secure boot and application hardening principles during build and release activities.
Validate application artifacts against basic security and integrity requirements before release.
Work through CDO and Project Managers for planning, prioritization, and client delivery activities.
Coordinate closely with Engineering, QA, and Security teams to ensure smooth handovers and clear ownership boundaries.
Maintain clear documentation for integrations, releases, and operational procedures.
Education and Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in application delivery, integration, advanced application support, or related roles.
Hands-on experience supporting mobile applications, with Android as the primary platform.
Proven experience with application build, signing, and release processes in production environments.
Experience working in operational or delivery-focused teams supporting client environments.
Key Skills
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Android platform fundamentals, including Secure Boot and Android Verified Boot, Application hardening and integrity concepts (such as AOSP, LineageOS, GrapheneOS, etc.)
Hands-on experience with mobile application build and submission processes (Android and iOS).
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, for application builds and releases.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Bash, Python, Java).
Good understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
Experience using troubleshooting and analysis tools such as Wireshark,tcpdump, Burp Suite or equivalent tools.
Basic understanding of applied cryptography concepts and application hacking (frida, apktool, jadx, etc.)
Non-Technical Skills
Strong operational and delivery mindset with high attention to detail.
Pragmatic problem-solving approach with a strong sense of ownership.
Ability to operate effectively under delivery pressure and shifting priorities.
