Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with other construction professionals, including plumbers and carpenters.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure that electrical systems remain functional and safe.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure installations meet specifications.
  • Supervise and train apprentices or less experienced electricians on the job.
  • Prepare and submit reports on electrical system performance and condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for entry-level electricians.
  • Completion of a certified apprenticeship program in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical theory, troubleshooting, and reading blueprints.
  • Legal right to work in the country with necessary electrical licensing.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential skills.
  • Physical capability to stand, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills for interpreting work orders and instructions.
