As a Forklift Operator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and flow of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other machinery to move products and materials around the facility efficiently and safely. A successful Forklift Operator must possess excellent manual dexterity, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to follow safety protocols meticulously. You will work closely with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure products are handled safely and efficiently to meet business goals. Additionally, your role involves conducting daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure operational effectiveness while minimizing downtime. This position is essential for supporting inventory management and distribution processes in our organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate various models of forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Inspect forklifts before each shift to ensure safe operation and report defects.
• Load and unload products from trucks and pallets with precision.
• Organize and stack products systematically to ensure optimal storage space usage.
• Assist in inventory management by ensuring accurate storage and documentation.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Identify and notify management of potential hazards or faulty equipment in the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Participate in regular training sessions to improve forklift handling skills and safety knowledge.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization standards within the forklift operational areas.
• Occasionally assist with manual lifting tasks when necessary to support team efforts.
• Report inventory discrepancies or damages immediately to the warehouse supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification or license is mandatory for this position.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork within a fast-paced environment.
