We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing electrical systems within both residential and commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical components, circuits, and wiring. They should be adept at troubleshooting issues, performing maintenance, and implementing necessary upgrades according to safety standards. Working independently as well as part of a collaborative team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all installations are conducted with precision and compliance with local codes and guidelines. This role requires a candidate who is not only technically skilled but who also possesses strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to interact with team members, contractors, and clients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems, components, and wiring to ensure compliance with codes.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and critical electrical components reliably and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to prevent future electrical issues and failures.
• Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams for electrical equipment installation.
• Install and connect electrical wiring, outlets, circuits, and panels accurately.
• Coordinate with other construction professionals to plan electrical installations.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and standards during installation.
• Upgrade outdated electrical systems to modern, more efficient alternatives promptly.
• Identify cost-effective solutions to improve electrical systems and reduce waste.
• Document and report on the status of electrical systems for future reference.
• Provide guidance and training to junior electricians and apprentices as required.
• Respond to emergency call-outs for urgent electrical repairs and adjustments.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship or electrical engineering program.
• Possession of a valid electrician license specific to the state or region.
• Proven experience in electrical systems, maintenance, and repair for at least 3 years.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and circuit diagrams proficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex electrical issues effectively.
• Adept at working independently and collaboratively with teams and other professionals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and colleague interactions.
