What You Need To Know
Comp Ex certified electricians with minimum 5 years' experience in Installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment associated with Lighting & Small Power, Heat Tracing Telecommunications, Fire & Gas and Instrumentation, ensuring all activities are in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60079-14, IEC 60079-17 and IEC-60079 series.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities (not limited to):-
Responsible for selection, Installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of ex-certified electrical equipment associated with Lighting & Small Power, Heat Tracing Telecommunications, Fire & Gas and Instrumentation, ensuring all activities are in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60079-14, IEC 60079-17 and IEC-60079 series.
Creates individual Ex-inspection reports, gathers, and check all inspection data including team reports to generate hazardous area equipment registers and defects List.
Reporting minor repairs at the time of inspection and highlighting critical defects.
Responsible for gathering daily progress reports, ensuring targeted numbers of equipment are reached if assigned as lead inspector at site.

Interpret, verify, and apply technical drawings, documentation, and specifications to guide field activities accurately.
Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with the client’s Permit to Work (PTW) system and site-specific health and safety protocols.
Adhere to all regulatory and client-specific requirements, including completing mandatory training programs.
Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Risk Assessments, and all relevant safety discussions and procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of approved timesheets, meeting both client and internal reporting requirements.
Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management to support overall project success, including roles such as Electrical Technician, and Weidmuller Box Assembler, as required.

Essential
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in electrical work within a similar industry or field, with a strong focus on hazardous area installations, inspection, and maintenance.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
