Job Description

Job Purpose:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical testing and commissioning activities for LNG plant construction projects, ensuring all testing works are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications, approved procedures, and ADNOC/client requirements.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise electrical testing and commissioning activities for LNG plant construction projects.

  • Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Construction Teams, QA/QC, Commissioning and Client/Consultant representatives.

  • Supervise testing of electrical equipment and systems, including LV/MV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motors, cables, batteries, UPS and protection systems.

  • Review approved drawings, testing procedures, method statements, ITPs and project specifications before execution.

  • Ensure electrical testing is carried out as per approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations.

  • Supervise cable insulation resistance, continuity, Hi-Pot, VLF and other applicable electrical tests.

  • Coordinate testing of transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors and associated electrical systems.

  • Ensure proper completion and verification of test records, check sheets, inspection requests and commissioning documentation.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure all testing activit ies comply with project quality requirements.

  • Monitor site activities and ensure work is executed safely and in accordance with ADNOC HSE requirements.

  • Identify testing issues, coordinate troubleshooting and ensure timely rectification.

  • Maintain daily progress reports and provide regular updates to the Electrical/Commissioning Manager.

  • Ensure all electrical testing activities are completed within the project schedule and required milestones.


Requirements:



  • DAE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical testing and commissioning.

  • Experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, petrochemical or major industrial plant construction projects.

  • Previous experience working on ADNOC projects is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Technip/Technip Energies or similar EPC projects will be an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning procedures, drawings and technical documentation.

  • Ability to supervise testing teams and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

  • Good knowledge of electrical safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.

  • Candidates must have strong site-based LNG/Oil & Gas project experience.
