Job Description

The Electrical Procurement Manager is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the procurement of electrical components, materials, and equipment essential to our operations. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be tasked with developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and establishing lasting partnerships with suppliers. As an integral part of the management team, the Electrical Procurement Manager will collaborate with various internal departments to understand their needs and ensure these requirements are met within the required timeframe and budget. Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the electrical engineering landscape combined with exceptional negotiation skills and supply chain expertise.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for electrical components and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure product quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate forecasting and timely procurement.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of electrical supplies.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels closely and plan orders to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and savings.
  • Identify potential suppliers and maintain a robust list of qualified candidates.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work towards continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in procurement, particularly in electrical components.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex market data.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to guide the procurement team.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, with strong computer skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
