Job Description

The Electrical Procurement Manager is a crucial role within our organization, focused on overseeing and optimizing the supply chain process for electrical components and materials. This position is responsible for the strategic procurement of electrical products, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible terms, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials needed for project completion. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to align procurement strategies with the company's overall objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of supply market trends, supplier performance monitoring, and contract management to meet both short-term demands and long-term strategic objectives. Excellent negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical components are essential for success.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical components and services.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders within the company.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct research to identify potential new suppliers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials by managing supplier performance effectively.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to define and specify technical requirements.
  • Oversee inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs accurately.
  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal regulations in procurement practices.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with financial department to manage procurement budgets and financial forecasting.
  • Lead and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering their professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, specifically for electrical components.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance data.
  • Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management and strategic sourcing principles.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in team development and mentoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective supplier relationships.
