Join STS Group as our next Electrical BIM Modeler for a Data Centre in Abu Dhabi

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Modeler to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical Data Centre projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production, coordination, and quality of BIM models and CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with data centre design standards.

The Opportunity

As a Electrical BIM Modeler, you will play a key role in the development and coordination of highly detailed Electrical BIM models for Data Centre projects, supporting design development, construction coordination, and handover. Working closely with BIM Managers, Project Managers, engineers, and contractors, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex, fast-paced, and technically demanding projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings and BIM Revit models for Data Centre Electrical systems, including power, cooling, containment, and life-safety systems.
  • Develop, update, and manage 3D BIM models for CSD and SEM coordination and construction submissions.
  • Generate accurate 2D drawings from BIM models in accordance with client, office, and Data Centre drafting standards.
  • Ensure all models and drawings meet strict quality, accuracy, and programme requirements typical of mission-critical projects.
  • Take ownership of model quality, consistency, and coordination across disciplines.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of issued and received models and drawings, clash reports, RFIs, and BIM registers in line with company ISO procedures.
  • Perform regular drawing backups and maintain organised project directories and model environments.
  • Participate in CSD coordination and clash resolution meetings with engineers, designers, and construction teams.
  • Identify, document, distribute, and track CSD/SEM issues through to resolution.
  • Support construction and client presentations using BIM models and visual outputs.
  • Work under the supervision of the BIM Manager and carry out assigned project tasks.
  • Report regularly to the Project Manager on progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the BIM and project teams.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
  • Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in BIM modelling and design coordination, ideally within Data Centres, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit for Electrical modelling, with working knowledge of Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and MicroStation for drafting and legacy project support.
  • Solid understanding of Data Centre Electrical systems, coordination requirements, and construction sequencing.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Why Join The STS Group?

  • A dynamic, growing company working in the most technically challenging edges of the construction industry.
  • A supportive team where your skills will be valued and developed - for the long term.
  • Competitive remuneration package.

STS Group is an equal opportunities employer. We encourage experienced candidates from all walks of life to apply for this role.
