An Echocardiographer, also known as an Echo Technician, is a healthcare professional specialized in using ultrasound technology to perform echocardiograms, which are essential for diagnosing heart conditions. Working closely with cardiologists, these technicians are responsible for interpreting measurements and producing accurate images of the heart and its structures. Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to trainees or junior technicians in performing echocardiographic procedures.
• Assist with scheduling and managing patient flow to optimize departmental efficiency.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or a related healthcare field is required.
• Certification in echocardiography from an accredited organization like ARDMS is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in performing echocardiographic procedures is ideal.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology for accurate imaging.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Competency in operating advanced echocardiography and ultrasound imaging equipment.
