Driver, Light Vehicle - Warehousing 3PL

Responsibilities

• Operating Company Owned or Leased Vehicle in a responsible manner whilst in compliance with the policies of the Health, Safety and Environment Department and UAE traffic rules.
• Carrying out daily inspection of equipment prior to usage to ensure that the equipment is safe to be operated and compliant to the required QHSE regulations and reporting any discrepancy to the supervisor immediately.
• Reporting accidents or break downs immediately to the supervisor.
• Following instructions from the supervisor during Loading and Downloading material whilst observing HSE policies and procedures.
• Reporting damages, excess / shortages if any, during delivery.
• Ensuring that the traffic regulations are strictly always observed while driving on the road and all penalties and fines on account of violation are avoided.
• Aadhering to all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and procedures. Taking initiatives for improvements and enhancement of safety, hygiene through near miss reporting and suggestions.
• Ensuring packed food is fully secured and is delivered on time with no delays as possible.
• Ensure proper inspections of vehicle are done before the start of the journey.
• Ensure temperatures are adequate for transportation of food products.
• Take part in emergencies for replacing vehicles during any kind of vehicle breakdowns in case if needed.
• Report HSE and Warehouse team in case of any malfunctioning of temperature monitoring device are observed.
• Performing any other duties/projects in line with person’s physical and mental abilities to carry out such task assigned by supervisor from time to time to meet business expectations.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education – Matriculation or Equivalent

Work Experience – Minimum 2 years of experience in driving in UAE

Specific Skills –

• A Valid UAE Driving License
• Basic Communication Skills
• Ability to understand, read and write English
• Aptitude to Safety
• Good Knowledge of UAE traffic rules and road safety
