<p style="margin-bottom:10px;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">Job Summary:<p style="margin-bottom:10px;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">The Draughtsman – Mechanical is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate mechanical drawings for Oil & Gas and industrial construction projects. The role supports Mechanical Engineers by producing detailed drawings for piping layouts, equipment arrangements, supports, and mechanical systems. The position ensures compliance with approved designs, project specifications, client standards, and applicable international codes, and supports drawing coordination, revisions, and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.<p style="margin-bottom:10px;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">Key Responsibilities:<ul style="padding-left:2rem;margin-bottom:1rem;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">

Review and interpret mechanical contract drawings, design documents, specifications, and client standards in coordination with Mechanical Engineers.

Prepare detailed mechanical drawings including piping layouts, equipment layouts, general arrangement (GA) drawings, pipe supports, isometrics, and spool drawings using AutoCAD.

Develop shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings in line with approved IFC drawings and site conditions.

Coordinate mechanical drawings with Civil, Structural, E&I, Piping, and other interfacing disciplines to ensure accuracy, proper clearances, and constructability.

Incorporate Consultant, Client, PMC, and Vendor comments into drawings and manage revisions and resubmissions for approval.

Update drawings based on site feedback, red-line markups, vendor drawings, and construction changes.

Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and document management in accordance with project procedures.

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, client standards, piping classes, and applicable international codes.

Assist in preparation of material take-offs, layouts, and drawing indexes as required by the Engineering or Project team.

Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to reflect actual installation details in as-built documentation.

Manage multiple drafting tasks while meeting project schedules and quality requirements.

Provide technical drafting support and guidance to junior mechanical draughtsman when required.

<p style="margin-bottom:10px;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">Required Qualifications & Competencies:<ul style="padding-left:2rem;margin-bottom:1rem;font-family:Roboto, sans-serif;">

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 4–7 years of experience in mechanical drafting within Oil & Gas, industrial, or EPC construction projects.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for mechanical drafting; experience with 3D tools is an advantage.

Good understanding of mechanical systems including piping, equipment layout, supports, and fabrication drawings.

Familiarity with Oil & Gas standards and codes such as ASME, API, ASTM, and project-specific client standards.

Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, and vendor drawings accurately.

High attention to detail with strong drawing control, documentation, and revision management skills.

Good coordination and communication skills with engineering, construction, and site teams.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight project deadlines.
