Job Description: Drafter (Draftsman)

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter (Draftsman) to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, layouts, and schematics while ensuring strict compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and safety standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in drafting software, possess up to 5 years of professional drafting experience, and be capable of delivering high-quality, compliant designs in a dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities

•          Prepare, design, and modify technical drawings, schematics, and floor plans in accordance with project specifications and NFPA codes.

•          Review and apply relevant NFPA standards (such as fire alarm, fire suppression, sprinkler systems, and life safety codes) to all design drafts.

•          Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure drawings meet technical and regulatory requirements.

•          Conduct site surveys and measurements to collect accurate data for drawing preparation when required.

•          Perform quality control checks on drafting work to maintain high accuracy and code compliance.

•          Maintain and organize drawing archives, project files, and revision histories systematically.

•          Assist in preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) and material submittals based on approved drawings.

Requirements

•          Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.

•          Proven experience of up to 5 years as a Drafter / Draftsman in a professional setting.

•          In-depth knowledge of and strict compliance with NFPA codes and safety standards.

•          Multilingual capability: Fluency/proficiency in Arabic, English, and Hindi.

•          Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting and BIM software.

•          High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
