General Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Solution Deployment to engage directly with customers, deeply understand their business and technical requirements, and design end‑to‑end solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams and external System Integrators (SIs). This role bridges customer needs with organizational capabilities, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, feasible, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Discovery

• Meet with customers to understand business objectives, pain points, and technical requirements.
• Conduct structured discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement‑gathering exercises.
• Translate customer needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
  
  
  

Solution Architecture & Design

• Assess existing products, platforms, and capabilities to identify fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Architect end‑to‑end solutions leveraging internal products, third‑party technologies, and partner SI services.
• Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs consider scalability, security, performance, and operational requirements.
  
  
  

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to validate solution feasibility.
• Coordinate across cross‑functional teams to align solution components and delivery expectations.
• Provide technical leadership and clarity during solution scoping and estimation processes.
  
  
  

External SI Collaboration

• Engage external System Integrators to shape joint solution offerings.
• Evaluate SI capabilities and match them to project needs.
• Align integration points, delivery models, and responsibilities across partners.
  
  
  

Solution Validation & Governance

• Review proposals, statements of work, and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Support RFP/RFI responses by crafting solution narratives and architecture.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  
  
  

Customer Advocacy & Thought Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout pre‑sales and solutioning phases.
• Present solution approaches, high‑level architecture, and value propositions to senior stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and SI partner capabilities.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 15+ years in solutions architecture, pre‑sales engineering, or technical consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of modern architectures (cloud, APIs, integrations, microservices, cybersecurity frameworks).
• Experience collaborating with SIs and third‑party vendors.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Background working in or with large system integrators.
• Experience designing solutions for enterprise or government customers.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
• Certifications in cloud or relevant platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  
  
  

OR

Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
