Responsible for the design, deliverables, revenue, quality, program, and budgets through all stages of Landscape Design. This role will oversee the Landscape design and coordination with the projects team for the timely execution of the designs across various masterplans.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and guide the design activities through the entire project cycle of multiple projects. Function as the lead design professional in the Design Department/Technical Department providing quality design & program management, review, implementation of policy and procedures and interface. Report to the line manager and coordinate with the other team members for the various aspects of design.
Aid the Line manager in establishing the Landscape Department’s short and long-term goals and ensure they are accomplished.
Oversee and be responsible for the execution of landscape design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints across the company project portfolio.
Develop and implement landscape plans, irrigation systems, retro fits to public realms, nursery management and other related activities via coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
Establish and follow an effective and efficient design review process to ensure that the design meets the overall goals and objectives for the project, provides maximum value for budgets, and are appropriate and enduring to meet the functional needs of the Client, the local Authorities, and project program.
Manage the procurement of consultants through strong ability to generate RFP documents in coordination with commercial teams and generate precise technical evaluation of bidder proposals.
Visit job sites on a regular basis, observe organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to correct problems, improve quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction.
Ensure compliance to Bloom processes for in-house and design consultants’ work review, deviation monitoring, project analysis and remedial actions.
Coordinating/managing multiple stakeholders and demonstrating the ability to build robust, long-term relationships and integrated teams.
Report to and align with Executive Director - Design to ensure satisfaction with Landscape Design, project progress and to review standards/procedures and project related issues at regular intervals.
Work with and coordinate consultant’s design with internal engineering teams so as to ensure appropriate levels of design review and coordination (MEP, Structural, Construction etc).
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Landscape Design/ Architecture with 10 – 15 years of experience.
Degree in horticulture, floriculture, landscape preservation or related field.
Project Management _ Landscape with 5 – 10 years’ experience.
Expert knowledge of project documentation QA/QC and local UAE authority regulations.
Proven UAE experience with a leading Developer is essential and candidate must have an excellent grasp of landscape considerations.
Strong competency in use of design software’s – AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop or equivalent, MS Office
