Job Title: Director - Human Capital Business Partner Job Purpose:

The HC Business Partner (HCBP) will act as the lead HC representative for EDGE Group’s Space & Cyber Technologies cluster, which includes companies such as Beacon Red, Oryxlabs, KATIM, and FADA. This role is responsible for aligning human resources strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant employment regulations, and supporting organizational priorities specific to high-technology and cybersecurity environments. The HCBP will partner with business leaders and HC teams to drive employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and change management initiatives tailored to this specialized sector.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the execution of HC strategies tailored to the needs of EDGE Group’s Space & Cyber Technologies companies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with relevant labor regulations.
  • Act as the primary HC lead for Beacon Red, Oryxlabs, KATIM, and FADA, managing complex HC matters including employee relations, organizational planning, and talent development.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations within the UAE and across operational jurisdictions.
  • Oversee talent management and internal mobility programs, facilitating cross-functional development and the retention of critical technical talent.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and HC colleagues to implement HC policies, including compensation, benefits, and performance frameworks, aligned with EDGE Group standards.
  • Analyze workforce trends within the Space & Cyber Technologies cluster to offer data-driven insights on HC planning and organizational development.
  • Address employee relations issues with a focus on equity, transparency, and compliance in sensitive, high-stakes environments.
  • Support recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent in space, cybersecurity, and related high-tech domains.
  • Drive change management efforts, including reorganizations and integration projects, ensuring effective communication and sustained employee engagement.
  • Lead employee engagement programs that reflect the unique cultures and missions of the cluster companies.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in HC , Organizational Psychology, or Employment Law.
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or equivalent credentials are desirable.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 10 years of HC experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic HCBP role within technology-driven or regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to manage HC programs across multiple entities or business units, ideally in high-tech, defense, or cybersecurity sectors.
  • Strong expertise in talent development, compliance, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
  • Experience working closely with leadership in mission-critical or innovation-focused organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HC initiatives during transformation, scaling, or reorganization.

Knowledge / Skills / Trainings:

  • Deep understanding of labor laws and employment regulations in the UAE and applicable global best practices.
  • Strong command of HC systems, analytics tools, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
  • Advanced conflict resolution and employee relations skills within sensitive, confidential environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence in technically complex and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with total rewards structures, talent mobility, and leadership development strategies.
