FUND/CLIENT ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Fund/Client Accounting Director to join our Private Equity, Fund Accounting team. This role is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Set guidelines for determining the net asset value (NAV) for funds in various sectors for each measurement cycle, promoting consistency across product areas.
• Oversee relationship management for a broad set of clients, ensuring customer service levels meet client needs and resolving any client issues.
• Participate in sales efforts including RFP and RFI preparation and related presentations.
• Provide oversight and guidance in setting processes that check for the completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements.
• Resolve complex escalated issues from team members.
• Lead analysis of GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices. Develop policies to ensure compliance with new regulations.
• Set guidelines, policies, and priorities for drafting financial reports for a broad set of clients to review fund performance. Communicate reports and highly complex accounting intricacies to clients.
• Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff, maximizing their individual contributions, professional growth, and ability to function effectively as a team.
• Oversee relationships with senior-level auditors and clients to ensure financial reporting meets expectations and accurately depicts fund performance.
• Manage multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams that serve a broad array of clients. Work is primarily accomplished through subordinate managers.
• Contribute to the achievement of multiple teams’ objectives.
  
  

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience in management preferred.
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
