Director Digital Strategy And Media

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced digital media leader to oversee the digital presence of a high-profile leadership office. The role will set the strategy for official websites, social media and digital campaigns, ensuring accurate, timely and impactful communications aligned with approved narratives and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the digital media strategy across official websites, social media accounts and digital engagement platforms.
  
• Establish policies, editorial standards and approval frameworks to maintain consistent messaging, credibility and quality.
  
• Oversee digital campaigns supporting official activities, announcements and strategic initiatives.
  
• Direct the development and publication of digital content, including website updates, press releases, blogs, podcasts and multimedia.
  
• Supervise social media planning and execution, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and appropriate audience engagement.
  
• Integrate analytics, SEO and audience insights to strengthen reach, visibility and content performance.
  
• Monitor global digital trends and recommend relevant innovations and international best practices.
  
• Collaborate with strategy, content, creative production, media monitoring and IT teams to deliver coordinated communications.
  
• Manage relationships with government stakeholders, creative agencies, production partners and social media platforms.
  
• Lead departmental planning, budgets, workforce allocation and team development.
  
• Set KPIs and provide weekly, monthly and executive-level performance reports.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  
• Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in digital media management, strategic communications or related fields.
  
• Demonstrated experience leading digital strategies, integrated campaigns, official websites and social media operations.
  
• Strong understanding of digital content production, analytics, SEO and platform performance.
  
• Experience managing senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams, budgets and external partners.
  
• Excellent communication skills, sound editorial judgement and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  
• Experience within government, leadership offices or high-profile institutions is highly desirable.
