Overview

The Director of AI Security leads a high-performing regional practice, with full accountability for strategy, service delivery, commercial performance, and capability development. The role builds on an established and operational practice, with a clear mandate to scale it into a market-leading, profitable, and differentiated offering aligned to the region’s rapidly evolving AI technology and regulation landscape.

This role combines strategic leadership, deep technical credibility, and strong commercial execution to expand the practice’s footprint across government and enterprise sectors, while strengthening CPX’s position as a trusted advisor in AI governance and responsible AI adoption, as well as in the adoption of AI to strengthen and accelerate CPX Cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Strategy: -

  • Full ownership of a multi-disciplinary practice covering:
  • AI governance and responsible AI
  • Regulatory compliance across AI and data domains
  • Implementation and operation of technical measures to secure AI, in collaboration with other Cyber Defense sub business Units.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team and peer practice leads across Cyber Defense to deliver integrated propositions and coordinated go-to-market execution for both Securing AI and embedding AI in security across all CPX offerings and services.
  • Regulatory scope includes UAE PDPL, DIFC and ADGM frameworks, UAE Cybersecurity Council and NESA/SIA standards, UAE AI Strategy and Charter, as well as GCC frameworks (e.g., KSA PDPL/SDAIA) and global regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act).

Business & P&L Leadership: -

  • Own the AI Security practice P&L, including revenue growth, margins, utilization, pricing, and cost management.
  • Define and execute a multi-year AI Security growth strategy aligned with CPX’s advisory, implementation and operation priorities.
  • Establish pricing models, automation, and delivery economics to support scalable growth.
  • Track and manage pipeline coverage, backlog, and revenue realization.
  • Maintain pipeline coverage alignment to defined revenue targets.
  • Support the commercial team to develop and close strategic and flagship opportunities across UAE.

Service Lines & Offering Development: -

  • Define and evolve the AI Security portfolio, aligned to regional regulatory and market demand.
  • Develop new offerings in AI governance, AI Security advisory, implementation and operation, including reusable IP and accelerators.
  • Identify emerging regulatory and technology trends (e.g., AI regulation, data sovereignty, responsible AI) and translate them into market-ready propositions.
  • Standardized delivery methodologies, quality assurance frameworks, and engagement models.
  • Drive AI-enabled delivery through automation, AI agents, and intelligent reporting frameworks.
  • Develop scalable, platform-based and productized offerings across AI and data protection domains.

Sales & Pipeline Growth: -

  • Own pipeline development across UAE, ensuring strong coverage and conversion of opportunities.
  • Support the commercial team in origination, proposals, pursuits, and commercial negotiations for strategic deals.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as executive sponsor for flagship accounts and drive cross-selling across CPX service lines.
  • Develop strategic alliances with technology vendors, partners, regulators, and academia.
  • Act as domain lead in large, multi-service Cyber Defense engagements.
  • Engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies to shape AI Security regulatory landscape in the region.

Delivery & Client Outcomes: -

  • Hold end-to-end accountability for delivery quality, client outcomes, and engagement governance.
  • Review and approve key deliverables to ensure technical quality and regulatory alignment.
  • Act as senior escalation point for delivery risks, client issues, and complex engagements.
  • Drive client satisfaction, renewals, and account expansion across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimum Work Experience & Education :-

  • 12+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, or technology leadership, with strong exposure to Securing AI and embedding AI into cybersecurity services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Technical fluency across AI/ML, data governance, cybersecurity, and privacy frameworks
  • Strong executive presence with ability to engage C-suite, regulators, and government stakeholders.
