DevOps Engineer (Cloud, Containers & Kubernetes)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. This role focuses on modern DevOps practices, including containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure management across Linux and Windows environments. The ideal candidate has a strong security mindset and works closely with engineering teams to enable fast, safe, and consistent software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Platform Engineering

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Manage and operate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (on cloud or on-prem).

Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of production and non-production environments.

Infrastructure & Systems Management

Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (primary) and Windows systems (secondary).

Manage databases such as MySQL & PostgreSQL, including backups, performance tuning, and basic security hardening.

Security & Reliability

Apply DevSecOps practices, integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines.

Implement basic software and infrastructure security guidelines, including access control, secrets management, patching, and vulnerability remediation.

Monitor systems, logs, and metrics; proactively identify and resolve reliability and security risks.

Collaboration & Operations

Work closely with backend, frontend, and QA teams to support application lifecycle needs.

Support release activities, incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.

Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

Solid knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.

Experience managing CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).

Working knowledge of MySQL & PostgreSQL administration and troubleshooting.

Understanding of basic security best practices for software and infrastructure.

Familiarity with Windows server administration and hybrid environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Exposure to service meshes, observability tools, or monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).

Experience in financial technology or regulated environments.

Knowledge of compliance, security scanning, or vulnerability management tools.
