Design Manager Infrastructure

Overview

As a Design Manager - Infrastructure you will be responsible for leading and managing the design process through the project lifecycle. Work closely with our clients, design consultants and other stakeholders to ensure the projects objectives are met in line with our client requirements and expectations. You will assist the Programme Director/Design Director or Senior Project Manager in ensuring that our scope of works is delivered to AtkinsRéalis and clientsexpectations.

Your role

• Lead program-level design management across all disciplines (wet utilities, dry utilities, roads, landscape).
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi local authorities standards (ADM, ADQCC, TAQA, SWS, TRANSCO etc..).
• Manage design consultants, supervision consultants, and contractors for execution and delivery.
• Oversee all utilities and its integration with all other services.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi standards and manage stake holders to secure NOCs/approvals.
• Knowledge in utility corridors and ROWs for multi-utility integration.
• Tender process management - review tender documents (scope, specs, BoQs).
• Manage clarifications, evaluations (technical & commercial), and award recommendations.
• Monitor construction interface, shop drawings, and design-to-site continuity.
• Coordinate and manage handover: as-builts, GIS data, O&M manuals, and authority acceptance.
• previous PMC experience in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Strong knowledge of authority standards and NOC processes.
• Experience in tendering, evaluation, and contract award.
• Familiarity with BIM and GIS systems.
• Technical problem-solving skills.
  
  

About You

• 10-15 years in design manager experience on hospitality projects.
• BachelorS or mastersa degree in architecture.
• Experience is LEED would be beneficial.
• Previous working experience in the region, preferrable in Saudia Arabia.
• Able to work in a team environment and be client facing.
• Active leadership style.
