Job Description

As a Deputy Store Manager at our sports retail outlet, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving store performance. With an engaging and enthusiastic outlook, you will assist in managing the store's day-to-day operations and directly oversee a team dedicated to sports retail excellence. Your leadership will be pivotal in implementing merchandising standards, optimizing sales processes, and executing marketing strategies to increase store visibility and profitability. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, staff motivation, and sales growth, while also participating in store administration and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations efficiently.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of store staff members.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently delivered.
  • Contribute to and implement store marketing and promotional activities.
  • Maintain store appearance through monitoring of merchandising standards.
  • Analyze sales reports to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate sales floor activities to ensure staff productivity and morale.
  • Manage inventory processes to minimize stock discrepancies and shrinkage.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints to optimize service delivery.
  • Assist in achieving and exceeding sale targets to boost store revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on budget management and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on employee development and motivation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for sports retail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • A strong understanding of retail analytics and financial management.
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems and Microsoft Office applications.
