Job Description

As a Deputy Store Manager at Sports 21J25, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations and management of the store. You will work alongside the Store Manager to ensure that the store runs efficiently and that our high standards of customer service, inventory management, and operational strategies are met. The role requires strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate the team, excellent organizational skills to manage storeroom operations, and an enthusiasm for delivering outstanding service to our customers. Your ability to manage and develop a team to meet sales targets while maintaining the store's visual standards will be key to your success. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operation and management.
  • Supervise and lead the sales team to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Monitor sales targets and help devise strategies to achieve them consistently.
  • Organize and oversee store inventory, including stock control and merchandising.
  • Ensure the store complies with all health and safety regulations consistently.
  • Implement promotional activities, ensuring displays are kept up-to-date and attractive.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
  • Plan and execute training programs for staff to enhance service delivery skills.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate store objectives and updates.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of new team members effectively.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the store’s appearance to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Provide reports to the Store Manager about sales performance and operational issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager in a retail environment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to multitask effectively.
  • Passion for sports and knowledge of sports equipment beneficial.
  • High level of customer focus with a proven track record of customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with retail management software systems.
