Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales trends to accurately forecast future product demand in retail.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to develop and refine purchasing strategies.
  • Manage inventory levels to minimize excess stock and avoid stockouts.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to align promotional activities with supply plans.
  • Develop and maintain demand planning procedures and protocols in retail.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and quality product deliveries.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supply chain performance metrics and objectives.
  • Communicate demand forecasts and replenishment plans to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze and respond to consumer buying patterns for demand adjustments.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies in demand and supply planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in demand and supply planning within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demand planning software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in retail.
  • Experience with inventory management and supplier relationship management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
