Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will ensure database availability, performance, security, and integrity while supporting development and operational teams.Key Responsibilities

• Database Administration
• Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server instances.
• Create and manage databases, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
• Perform regular database backups and recovery testing.
• Security & Compliance
• Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption).
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Maintenance & Monitoring
• Monitor database health using tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, and third-party monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery
• Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, Clustering).
• Collaboration
• Work closely with developers to optimize queries and database design.
• Support application teams during deployments and migrations.
• Documentation
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for database configurations, processes, and policies.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Experience with SQL Server 2016+ (or later versions).
• Proficiency in backup/restore strategies and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with cloud-based SQL services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
