As the Data Analyst at GCGRA, you will support the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data related to the gaming industry. The role contributes to evidence-based decision-making and regulatory oversight by preparing reliable datasets, identifying trends and anomalies, developing clear visualizations, and translating analysis into practical insights for internal stakeholders. The role is expected to work under the guidance of the AI and Data Solutions Architect Manager and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and secure handling.
Responsibilities
Support the design and documentation of data collection methodologies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition from gaming operators.
Maintain and use data management systems and processes to organize, store, validate, and maintain datasets securely in line with established standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with data protection regulations.
Perform data analysis using appropriate statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, outliers, and anomalies in gaming data.
Support statistical modelling, hypothesis testing, and evaluation activities to help assess regulatory policies, enforcement actions, and operational trends.
Translate complex data analysis results into clear and actionable insights to inform decision-making processes.
Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on gaming industry performance, key metrics, and regulatory compliance, including clear and accurate data visualizations for internal reporting and decision-making.
Support the monitoring and assessment of gaming operators' compliance with regulatory requirements by analyzing relevant data, indicators, and reporting outputs.
Contribute analytical insights and evidence to support the development of regulatory policies, guidelines, and internal decision-making.
Provide data-related inputs, analysis, and recommendations to support regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and related governance activities
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics, preferably within a regulated, government, financial services, technology, or gaming-related environment. Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI platforms.
Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, economics, information systems, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional certification is desirable.
Strong knowledge of statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive modelling.
Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, or risk management environments is preferred; prior exposure to the gaming industry is an advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey data analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations related to handling sensitive gaming data is desirable.

Supports the alignment of data analysis activities, reporting, and insights with organizational priorities, regulatory objectives, and governance frameworks.
