Responsibilities

• Prepare and process required documents for customs clearance efficiently and accurately.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure all necessary shipment information is obtained promptly.
• Review and verify compliance of shipments with import/export regulations and laws.
• Communicate effectively with customs authorities to facilitate timely clearance of goods.
• Assist clients with tariff classification, duty rates, and other customs-related queries.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in documentation or shipment details proactively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant customs and trade regulations globally.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and shipment schedules.
• Prepare and submit payment for duties, taxes, and other fees associated with shipments.
• Generate accurate reports and maintain records of all customs activities and shipments.
• Provide training and support to team members on customs and compliance procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs agents and industry partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in customs clearance or related logistics roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of international customs laws and trade regulations.
• Proficiency with customs clearance software and related logistics technologies required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and within a dynamic environment.
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
