Job Description

As a CT/MRI Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch diagnostic imaging services in both clinical and hospital environments. This position is essential in ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging for the purpose of evaluating a variety of medical conditions. With a focus on patient care, safety, and comfort, you will be responsible for operating sophisticated CT and MRI equipment, producing high-resolution images that will aid physicians and specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise will contribute to the accuracy and precision of health assessments, guiding appropriate medical interventions. A strong understanding of imaging techniques, patient positioning, and equipment protocols is required, alongside a commitment to maintaining a compassionate and supportive environment for patients undergoing scans.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for CT and MRI procedures, ensuring compliance with protocols.
  • Operate CT and MRI equipment safely, adjusting settings based on diagnostic requirements.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images with attention to details and image clarity.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to assess diagnostic images and adjust techniques as needed.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe working environment, adhering to safety and infection control regulations.
  • Document and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Ensure patient safety by following proper radiation protection and magnet safety protocols.
  • Provide detailed explanations to patients about scan procedures, addressing their concerns and questions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation within the health information system.
  • Participate in continuing education to keep abreast of the latest advancements in imaging technology.
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughput.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years experience operating both CT and MRI imaging equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of CT/MRI protocols, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry advances.
