Job Description

The Contract Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing contractual agreements within an organization. This position involves coordinating contract preparation, negotiation, execution, and compliance with legal policies and procedures. The Contract Coordinator ensures that all contractual documents are accurate, legally binding and meet the organization’s strategic goals. They serve as a primary point of contact between stakeholders, legal teams, and suppliers. Successful execution of this role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities. By ensuring that all contracts are up to date and managed efficiently, the Contract Coordinator supports the smooth operation of the business and mitigates risks associated with contractual obligations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of new contracts and amendments.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and suppliers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for contract-related queries from stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements in all contracts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system for all executed contracts and related documents.
  • Monitor deadlines and conditions to ensure timely contract renewals and extensions.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any contractual risks or issues.
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and enforcing contract terms.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates on contract statuses to management regularly.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss potential contract changes or enhancements.
  • Develop new processes and strategies to improve contract management operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on contract negotiation and management techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in contract management, negotiation, and coordination roles.
  • Strong understanding of legal language and interpreting contract terminology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
