Job Description

The role in one line

We’re hiring a creator who can turn real moments into short-form stories people actually watch — hooked in the first second, satisfied by the ending.

The vibe

We’re building an in-house content studio that captures craft, hospitality, people, and culture — then turns it into premium short-form that feels warm, modern, and real. If you naturally think in story beats, love directing real people (not actors), and can ship consistently without losing taste — this is your lane.

What you’ll own

  • Story-first short-form (not “random posting”)
  • Build hooks and beat sheets (what happens in each 1–3 seconds).
  • Write scripts (VO / on-screen lines / captions) that sound human.
  • Create simple storyboards for hero pieces (clear direction, not fancy slides).
  • Shoot + edit end-to-end
  • Plan shoots with shot lists and what-to-capture checklists.
  • Film on the ground (phone + camera), minimal disruption, maximum realism.
  • Edit with restraint: clean visuals, clean sound, modern pacing, tasteful text.
  • Repeatable formats that scale
  • Create series formats and templates (so the content compounds).
  • Turn one shoot into multiple deliverables (hero → micro → stories).
  • Keep a clean asset library so your best work is reusable.
  • Direct real people, naturally
  • Guide founders/staff/baristas on camera without making it cringe.
  • Capture hospitality moments as they happen — authentic, not staged.
  • Professional discretion You’ll be exposed to upcoming brand and campaign work. Confidentiality and good judgment are non-negotiable.

What you’ll create (examples)

  • Craft rituals (coffee/bakery/food moments with real texture).
  • Hospitality moments (warmth without forcing it).
  • Product drops and seasonal stories (teaser → reveal → reaction).
  • Community/people stories (the energy around the brand).

Quality bar (we care about taste)

We value restraint. We’re not looking for cluttered edits, cheesy transitions, fake hype, over-processed color, or generic cafe content.

Requirements

Must-have

  • 4–7+ years producing short-form for premium lifestyle / hospitality / F&B / retail.
  • Portfolio that proves storytelling, not just pretty shots.
  • Strong editing (Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci; CapCut is fine if output is premium).
  • Strong shooting fundamentals (composition, lighting, audio) on phone + camera.
  • Can ship consistently: organized files, clear versions, reliable deadlines.
  • Comfortable being on-site often (including activations when needed).

Big plus

  • Arabic.
  • Strong scriptwriting for VO + on-screen copy.
  • Kinetic typography / light motion graphics (tasteful).
  • Food filming sensibility.
  • Experience directing founders/talent.

How to apply (filter for real storytellers)

Send:

  • Portfolio links (IG/Instagram / TikTok / Drive)
  • 3–5 best short-form pieces
  • One example where you wrote the script or structured the story (beat sheet/storyboard)
  • A short note: your process from idea → script → shoot → edit

Shortlisted candidates may complete a paid practical task (editing test and/or a short on-site capture session).
