Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our expert medical team. The successful candidate will provide specialized eye care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of ocular diseases. This role offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility, delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to advancements in ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and diagnose a wide range of eye conditions
  • Formulate and implement medical and surgical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract extraction, glaucoma procedures, retinal surgeries, and laser treatments
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and counseling
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient management
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records and comply with clinical governance standards
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with latest clinical practices

Requirements

  • Medical degree with recognized specialization in Ophthalmology
  • Valid, active medical license to practice as a Consultant Ophthalmologist
  • Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in ophthalmology
  • Expertise in performing a variety of complex ophthalmic surgical procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Fluent English proficiency; additional languages are beneficial
